Hi Hubert I am sure you know this already, even if the abbreviation is unfamiliar. IGI = International Genealogical Index, part of the Latter Day Saints website called familysearch.com. It is freely acessible on the net. Use with caution - lots of transcription errors, lots of supposition disguised as fact, and very few burial details. Always check any results against the original records, or a printed transcript, wherever possible. The originals will often give more information as well (e.g. witnesses to marriages, age and actual parish or hamlet of bride, groom, and parent of a baptised child, all usually omitted in the IGI).
