    3. Another irrelevant detail about Whitsun. There is a chain of islands in the Oz Barrier Reef called the Whitsundays as they were first sighted (by Captain Cook I presume0 on Whitsunday. And yes, Bank Holidays in the UK are public holidays so called because the banks closed..technically important because it meant that you could not transact business...oh for the days before the internet!
