    3. Janet, Thanks for your interesting research. I have details of 5 children born to Thomas WOODWARD 1787 AND Mary Ann BUSBY 1787. They are Ann abt 1807, William qbt 1809, Esther abt 1812, Joseph abt 1813 and Thomas, my direct line born abt 1816. Living a bit of a distance from Oxfordshire, I haven't (yet) managed to visit the local RO and haven't yet peeled back the next layer. That is trying to find parents of Thomas WOODWARD, so I can't say, yet whether George or Richard are mine. If not and if you would like them, let me know. Further to Len's info. on the marriage, Thomas was shown as a Servant, a bachelor, and of the parish. Mary made her mark and the witness to the marriage was a Mary? BEAL. Thomas was buried at Banbury 15 August 1834, Neithrop, aged 47 which makes his birth date c1787. The first WOODWARD baptism at St Mary, Banbury is that of a George, son Richard, Weaver & Mary on 7 September 1792. Richard was buried 4 April 1805, weaver, pauper and he & Mary seem to be the only WOODWARD family having children baptised at Banbury prior to Thomas & Mary so could well be connected in some way. Richard was married at St Mary, Banbury on 24 July 1791, plushweaver, b. to Mary MAKEPEACE, sp. Mary made her mark and they were both described as of the parish, so no clues there. The witness was John SMALLBONE. Sorry not to have been of more help.
