    3. Hi, I've just received this message from Vivien Byron (nee Humphries). Some of you may be interested in the names. I'll add them to the website asap, but snowed under right now! Vivien would be happy to correspond with anyone who is interested, but she is not a member of the list - so please contact her directly. [email protected] If you find out anything of interest to any of us - pass it on :-) Rosemary Northumberland UK Email: [email protected] Family History: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~rprobert/ Banburyshire Website: http://www.rootsweb.com/~engcbanb/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hello - have just seen your website, including the photograph of the Potato Pickers. I have a copy of this photograph as those in it are largely my Grandfather's (William Joseph Humphries)family. Some years ago, before he died, my father asked my Grandfather to name the people in the photograph and father wrote the names on the back. I thought you may be interested. >From the left to right:- Robert Humphries (Grandad's father), Mr Waters, Elizabeth Aris (Grandad's aunt) Emma Humphries (Grandad's mother), "Mrs Aris" (Grandad's grandmother), unknown, Bill Jarvis (The butcher), Fred Penn (The Carrier), unknown, Charlie Aris (Grandad's uncle). The little girl on the bottom left is Emma Humphries (Grandad's eldest sister - one of the twins). Estimated date of the photo is 1900/1901 - based on the age of Emma. Our Grandparents - Will and Millie Humphries - lived in Farthinghoe all their lives. They ran the Fox Inn from the 1930s to around the mid-1960s. My cousins (named Anderson) ran the village bakery and my Grandfather delivered bread to all the surrounding villages, firstly by horse and cart and later in the bread van. Other cousins (named Harris) ran the village shop. I have a lot of photos including one of a village fete, one of the first motorised bread van etc. etc. Sadly though I have had them framed so am unable to scan them to send to you. Kind regards Vivien Byron (nee Humphries) Ken & Vivien Byron COPPERWHEAT LABRADORS Kennel Club Accredited Breeders 01480 213356 or 07956 142363 www.copperwheat.net
