Hi All: I have a photo of my Great Grandmother who was married in 1848. Her clothing and jewellry is similar to Joe's ladies but I would assume it was taken some time after her marriage. She is wearing a long gold chain (now in the possession of a cousin) and I would not think her husband could have afforded such an item for several years after their marriage. She died in 1889 so that is the best I can do regarding dates. Hope this helps.
