Michael has also taken details from Deddington Deanery Magazine 1914 – 1922 relating to the men who served and about the construction of the War Memorial. He says: "These records are the work of the Reverend Thomas Boniface, Vicar of Deddington. At the time of writing, he had been the Vicar since 1878 and if you read the original magazine, which is held in the Oxford Record Centre, you will detect the increasing level of despair in the records."
