    3. Thank you both. By this date I think that Frank would have been captured and he may have died as a Pow on a Japanese vessel. There is a memorial to him in Yokohama and thanks to you I have just found this: Royal Artillery 89 Bty., 35 Lt. A.A. Regt. Java Number 2696 Date Died 1942/11/12 Time Died 1240 Illness Diarrhoea & exhaustion Age Unknown Place Died Takao Port Date of Burial 1942/11/13 Place of Burial Cremated - Takao City; Moji Communal Grave Memorial Panel 4. YOKOHAMA CREMATION MEMORIAL He died on a Hellship Singapore Maru Left Batavia in Java 1942/10/17 for Singapore with 3000 prisoners, arrived 25/10/1942. Left Singapore for Takao/ Moji, Japan 1942/10/30 with 1100 prisoners, arrived 1942/11/25. 108 died on the journey or as a direct result from the deplorable conditions the prisoners endured. Thank you very much, your comments were the answer Now the question of siblings?
