John, I don't have any answers to the Lucy Ellis mystery, but I have a "missing" Ellis family who passed through VT during that time. My ancestor's brother, Grindal Ellis, married Susan Whitney, and they had three daughters...names unknown. These Ellises were from Medway, MA. Grindal, Seth and Nathan Ellis were sons of Seth Ellis, Sr and Eliza Rawson. Nathan Ellis and his wife (Sarah Thayer), married in 1808. They moved to Brattleboro, VT> to Wyoming Co, NY>to Summit Co, OH. I don't know if either or both of his brothers made a similar migration, but it would be typical for them to do so. Just another possibility. Pat Sabin I don't kno [email protected] wrote: > Hello out there! > > I am looking for any info on a Lucy Ellis who married a Horace > Webb in NY about 1830ish.
