Brant, I am descended from Christopher Ellis (born in London, England, fought in the Revolutionary War in NC) and his wife Nancy (Callahan) Ellis. My great-great-grandfather was William Ellis, born in 1797 in NC. His wife Elizabeth ( ? ) was born 1803 in NC. They moved to TN. Their son, my great-grandfather John Cumberland Ellis, was born in 1831 in TN.
