Hello, The information I have is scant. Delphia ELLIS [no additional information] married Lemuel DeBERRY, born about 1757; died after 1812 NC. Delphia ELLIS was a daughter of William ELLIS, born about 1755, and Elizabeth STANTON. These individuals were of Northumberland, Surry and/or Pitt Counties in Virginia. Delphia ELLIS is said to be have been the third wife of Lemuel DeBERRY and was much younger than he. I have no knowledge of previous DeBERRY children; I do, however, have the names of the children of Lemuel and Delphia ELLIS DeBERRY. I have been unable to discover additional information for William ELLIS or Elizabeth STANTON. I have absolutely no vital statistics; absolutely no documentation other than DeBerry family bible, family tradition and the Dixie McCrary book, "The Ellis Line from Surry- Sussex in Virginia.....", pages 141-142, wherein mention is made of William ELLIS on DAR application papers. Does anyone have knowledge of parents, siblings, history or anything on this couple, William ELLIS and Elizabeth STANTON. Anything appreciated; will share what I have on descendents.
