Brant My Ellis's came out of Iredell, NC, into Cherokee Co., NC and into Monore and McMinn Co., TN. Earliest back that I have is Samuel, to Joshua, to Allen b. ca 1796 m. Laurana Weeks (they are on Cherokee Co Census), to James (also on Cherokee Co., Census), to John Allen Ellis and Cordelia Kilby (believed married in Cherokee Co.), they moved to Monroe Co., TN. Cordelia died in Rafter, TN and John died in McMinn Co., TN., but raised his children in Monroe Co., TN (Tellico Plains and Coker Creek).
