    3. Pattee, Here's what I have on my Ellis ancestors: Christopher Ellis b. London England, fought with the NC Milita during the Rev. War. He married Nancy Callahan, and they had 10 children (6 daughters & 4 sons). Christopher and Nancy were my great-great-great grandparents. William, b. 1797 in NC. He married Elizabeth Allin (sp?), who was b. 1803 in NC. William and Elizabeth were my great-great- grandparents. They had 10 children: John Cumberland (1831-1919) Thomas (1836- Robert (1837- Nancy (1838- Lucy 1839- William (1841- George (1843- James (1844- Yancy (1846- (tenth child?) John Cumberland and Harriet (Quick) Ellis were my great-grandparents. John Cumberland Ellis moved to Brookville, IN in 1849 (The same year his family moved to Arkansas?) He married Harriet Quick in 1852. He was county Assessor for Franklin County, IN from 1899-1907. John C. Ellis died in 1919. John C. and Harriet (Quick) Ellis had 12 children: Sarah Jane (Ellis) Cooksey (1853-1923) Mary Catherene (Ellis) Hayden (1854-1926) Martha Ellen (1856-1858) Emma Adaline (Ellis) Miller (1857-1924) Charles H. Spurgeon ((1858-1860) James Elijah (1860-1948) Cyrus Clayton (1861-1930) Hannah Ann (Ellis) Graham (1863-1938) Otis Monroe (1865-1924) Nancy Louvesta (Ellis) Sellers (1867-1927) Myrtle ("Donna") Ellisa (Ellis) Abbot (1869-1934) John Laverne (1872-1940) Nancy Louvesta was my grandmother.
