I am looking for information on my g-g-grandfather Lafayette Ellis. He appears at the age of 12 in Warrick Co., Indiana in the 1850 census. He is living with a James and Mary Hardin. Both list Kentucky as their birthplace and Lafayette has Indiana for his. In 1860, he has moved to Gibson Co., Indiana. Has anyone run across this Lafayette Ellis and his ancestors in their research?
