This reference of James True married to Nancy >Ellis is soft and without documentation. According to the information I have, William ELLIS who married Agnes Brooks CARR was the great-uncle of Nancy ELLIS who married John THOMSON. Capt. William ELLIS (1761-1802) who led the Travelling Church was married to Elizabeth SHIPP, and he was the father of Nancy ELLIS. Nancy was married to two husbands, John THOMSON and Horace COLEMAN. Nancy (aka Ann) and John Thomson were my 4-great grandparents. I'm sorry, I do not have anyone named TRUE in my database. In my file, I have a descendancy chart sent to me by a cousin, taken from an Ancestral File. It lists a Nancy ELLIS, daughter of William and Agnes who married twice, first to Charles THOMAS then to James TREE. I hope this helps! Allison Patterson Jackson Co, Missouri [email protected]
