I know that there are a number of people out there researching the elusive Dicey Murphree Ellis Wilson! She was born Dicey Murphree, married Jeremiah Ellis in South carolina, bore him four or five children and was widowed when he died in his thirties. She came around the Allegheny Mountains with a few of her children in tow and settled in McMinn/Rhea county Tennesse, Athens, to be exact. She married A fellow named Wilson and bore him several more children and then vanished! Anyone know where and when she was buried? Her descendants inclyde Ezekiel Jesse Ransom and Sarah ellis of Blount and Barry Counties. Thanx for any light you can shed. Sylvia
