Dear pleasant folk interested in Ellis descendents; I posted a query just last night and have already received a number of informative replies. However, they were each sent to me by direct mail and not to the list. I replied directly. Thinking about it though, how does one share info among the list if all the communication is one on one. Is there a protocol or certain types of messages that are shared with the list and other types that are shared with just the individual sending a comment? I'm new to this geneology list business and plead ignorance to the protocol but am open to education. thanks in advance for your indulgence of my ignorance :-) Bob
