    3. Linda & Others: In "A Memorandum of The Ellis Family" by Thomas H. Ellis (1849) it is noted that a Charles Ellis moved from Henrico County (near Richmond) in 1754 up to Albemarle County (thats up in the foothills of Eastern Virginia) to a place on the Pedlar River that became known as Red Hill. It doesn't seem to fit too well with your information but may give you some hints.
