I've been reading the various messages in hopes of getting a line on my family. I need help in locating the Ellis line of my ggrandfather. His name was Benjamin Franklin Ellis and he was born on October 2, 1850 somewhere in Virginia. He died on June 24, 1940 in Altus, Oklahoma. According to the informant on his death certificate, his fathers name was Sam. Don't know if this was his first name or middle name. Given the size of families in the mid 1800's, surely Benjamin Franklin Ellis had some brothers and sisters, if anyone has this individual in their family lines, I would appreciate hearing from them.
