have a Mary Ellis in my files without a spouse that was born abt. 1824. Her parents were Francis Ellis b.abt 1769 in S.C.??? d. abt 1839 m. Sarah Breedlove b. abt 1773. Francis was a son of John Ellis Sr. and Mary Quinn. If this helps I can send you more information. There are many John Ellises, but not so many Francis Ellises. I wonder if your line might be connected to Francis Ellis b. abt 1700 Burlington Co NJ. His son John was b 1739 in Burlington Co, and grandson Joseph b 1763 moved to MD.
