Hi Cousins, I don't normally pass on Virus alerts but the Happy99.exe Virus has infected 2 of my Cousins & was sent to me but I deleted it. I didn't open the file, fortunately, after having downloaded it. My Cousin found out & told me about it. I deleted it. If you want to know more about Happy99.exe search for Iris Virus on the Net. I have no interest in that site only for the info posted there. For the most part, if you pay attention to your email, don't down load any file that the KNOWN sender does not tell you about, you don't need an antivirus program. If you attach a file to outgoing email, you should always tell the addressee that a file IS attached and WHAT it is. You can alway delay downloading a file by marking it as unread until you ask the sender what it is. Now besides practicing safe sex we have to practice safe email! The Happy99 virus sends a copy of itself on your outgoing email. It can slow down your Internet program or crash it. Please forgive me for posting this to the lists but the Virus is in the Genealogy community. Be very careful about downloading any files with a .exe extention. You canot get the virus by reading your email only by opening the file after downloading it from your email. Charles Paul Keller
