I'm hoping someone can help to identify these people I just found on my family tree maker CD #2-2034. I'm almost positive this is my family, but they have the families separated so I don't know how they all connect. I'm listing them as they are broken down (not connected in the file) so you can see what they are. Any information on any of these Ellis's would be appreciated so much. I'm hoping this Joshua Ellis is the son of Samuel Ellis (noted below) and someone can help identify not only his family, but his wife's family as well. My Joshua was born abt the same time and was in Iredell Co., NC at one point in time. Joshua Ellis Generation No. 1 1. JOSHUA1 ELLIS was born WFT Est. 1759-1788, and died WFT Est. 1813-1873. He married MARY ALLEN (?) WFT Est. 1800-1832. Child of JOSHUA ELLIS and MARY ALLEN (?) is: i. MARY FORD2 ELLIS, b. January 20, 1810, Statesville, NC; d. January 26, 1904; m. JEREMIAH BURNETT, December 22, 1831, NC. Samuel also had a son named James, but this person being listed as Private, makes it impossible for me to identify him. Samuel also had a grandson through Joshua named Allen , who also had a son named James Ellis, my great-great grandfather. He was born ca 1826 Iredell Co., NC. I have not been able to identify James's first wife, mother of my grandfather or his siblings, all born between 1859 and 1866-1867. James Ellis Generation No. 1 1. JAMES1 ELLIS was born Private. He met SARAH JACQUELINE TERRY Private. Child of JAMES ELLIS and SARAH TERRY is: i. JAMES2 ELLIS, b. Private; m. LESLIE ANN SMITH, Private. I do not know how these people fit in, but am sure they must be connected here somehow. Ellis Generation No. 1 1. ELLIS1 was born WFT Est. 1802-1829, and died WFT Est. 1855-1915. He married MARGARET GAITHER WFT Est. 1855-1880, daughter of ZACHARIAH GAITHER. Child of ELLIS and MARGARET GAITHER is: 2. i. MILTON GAITHER2 ELLIS, b. 1850; d. 1908. Generation No. 2 2. MILTON GAITHER2 ELLIS (ELLIS1) was born 1850, and died 1908. He 765-1794; d. WFT Est. 1771-1873. xi. MARGARET TOMLINSON, b. WFT Est. 1765-1794; d. WFT Est. 1796-1876; m. ALEXANDER REID, WFT Est. 1796-1832. xii. GEORGE TOMLINSON, b. WFT Est. 1765-1794; d. WFT Est. 1771-1873. I would appreciate any type of information on this.
