Hi I am searching for Ellis' in Arkansas. I went to the library and copied the Arkansas Death index record for all Elis Surnames. the years are from 1914-1940. If you would like for me to check out your Ellis surnmae on here I would gladly look it up. I am going to copy all Ellis surnames from the 1850..60 70 1900 and 1910 census index when I go back. My Ellis line goes from SC>>?>>AL>>AR the farthest back I have is Richard F. Ellis..was born ca 1811 in SC... he bought land in 1837 in Greene county Al and married in greene county Al in 1839. he had 7 children I know of. I am searching for his last three and for his cemetary. I last tracked him in 1870 census in Tuscaloosa county AL. wife Sarah. sound familiar? Any suggestions? thanks! Kat
