ELLIS, born 1888 or 1889 in IL. She died 25 FEB 1920 in Union Co., IL. She married EDWARD A. SMITH bef. 1911 and they had 5 children: PAUL, HAZEL, HARRY, ORAL, & LUCILLE. Only Paul and Hazel lived to adulthood. EVA was the daughter of REUBEN ELLIS, b. MAR 1840 in Jackson Co., IL and MARGARET J. HAGLER, b. Jun 1851. There were 7 children: WILEY D. ELLIS, b. May 1873; JAMES ELLIS, b. Aug. 1875; THOMSON (Tom) ELLIS, b. Feb. 1878; ADAM ELLIS b. May 1884; CHARLEY ELLIS b. Aug. 1886; EVA ELLIS; and IDA ELLIS b. Nov. 1893. All were born in Jackson Co., IL. REUBEN ELLIS was the son of DANIEL ELLIS b. 6 JAN 1811 in TN and SARAH WILSON b. abt. 1813 in SC. They had eleven children. DANIEL ELLIS was the son of JONATHON ELLIS and CELIA BRYANT.
