I would be very interested in seeing a copy of this James Ellis' Will. I have a great grandfather, a great great grandfather, and a great great great (3 greats) grandfather, all named James Ellis. The they all lived in Tennessee, I believe. The oldest one migrated into east Tennessee when it was still NC, if I have my story straight. I have searched for a Will for James Ellis, Jr., and so far have not found one. He died in 1843. I have found a Will in Lincoln County for an older James Ellis, who died around 1848 or 1849, and he left most of his estate to his wife, and then to his grandchildren. It makes me think that he was older, and his children already deceased. I would like to compare notes with person with the old Will. Thanks. Joyce Park Riggs
