Hello to all that sent me Ellis information. I greatly appreciate it. I recieved too many replies to my post to respond to each one exclusively. The response was great !! I did not glean any new information while conversing with the family. I did however, get them interested in Genealogy when I produced all those printed replies from the list. Several wanted to know how to research, so now maybe I will not be alone in my hunt. I think I already posted that I found my George Monroe Ellis and Martha (Mattie) Williams Ellis burial sites in Macedonia Cem. in Dale Co. I will go take pictures when it cools down some. We did go to a Cem in Coffee Co. yesterday and it must have been at least 105 out there. WHEW !!! If anyone is interested, (and ya'll need to let me know ) I will post whatever I find on my ELLIS's. I will go back tomorrow and start the census again. They are in Coffee Co. 1910-1920, as I have already found them there. I need to find George's parents so I can go on. Nobody knew who their grandparents were, nor knew where they came from. (N.C., S.C., Va.) Again, Thanks to those of you who responded to my plea. Mary masdal@ala.net
