I am interested in th Enumeration of Union Veterans and Widows of Veterans of the Civil War-roll #95. It is for Tennessee-Dickson/Montgomery Counties. We do not send records through inter-library loan or to other National Archives facilities. Many of the genealogical microfilms are available in the Regional Archives Records Service Centers. For information on the one closest to you, see http://www.nara.gov/nara/gotonara.html. The Microfilm Locator (http://www.nara.gov/nara/searchmicro.html) will help you see if the rolls you want are in that center. Some of the microfilm has been purchased by libraries or other research institutions and may be available in private research centers or through inter-library loan from them. Your local librarian can help you look into this. Microfilm may be purchased for $34 per roll ($39 for foreign orders). Call 1-800-234-8861. You will need to know the publication number (M or T number) and the roll number. If you don't have those numbers, first try finding them in the Microfilm Locator (http://www.nara.gov/nara/searchmicro.html). If you have other questions or need more help, call the Customer Service Centers: 202-501-5401 in Washington, DC and 301-713-6800 in College Park, MD. They will try to help you figure out the right numbers for the microfilm you need. There is also a microfilm rental program. You may rent: Federal population census schedules (including slave schedules) from 1790-1920 Census soundexes from 1790-1920 American Revolutionary War service records and index Revolutionary War pension and bounty-land-warrant application files All the information on the rental program is at http://www.nara.gov/publications/microfilm/micrent.html. We hope you find this information to be helpful. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. --part1_de.8a5008e.26ca03bc_boundary Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Disposition: inline Return-Path: <inquire@arch2.nara.gov> Received: from rly-yb04.mx.aol.com (rly-yb04.mail.aol.com [172.18.146.4]) by air-yb01.mail.aol.com (v75_b3.11) with ESMTP; Mon, 14 Aug 2000 18:41:15 -0400 Received: from smtp.nara.gov (smtp.nara.gov [198.76.129.52]) by rly-yb04.mx.aol.com (v75_b3.9) with ESMTP; Mon, 14 Aug 2000 18:40:51 -0400 Received: from NARA-Message_Server by smtp.nara.gov with Novell_GroupWise; Mon, 14 Aug 2000 18:38:49 -0400 Message-Id: <s9983cb9.006@smtp.nara.gov> X-Mailer: Novell GroupWise Internet Agent 5.5.3.1 Date: Mon, 14 Aug 2000 18:38:42 -0400 From: "NNU Public Reference Inquire" <inquire@arch2.nara.gov> To: <DSul720330@cs.com> Subject: Re: re: purchasing copies Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Disposition: inline We do not send records through inter-library loan or to other National Archi= ves facilities.
