Laban Henry Ellis was born 5 May 1801 in Fleming, Kentucky. He married Prudence Wallingford 20 Feb 1823 in Maysville, Kentucky. They moved to Illinois where Prudence died 2 Jul 1844. Laban remarried a Sarah Griffee who died around 1864 then he married a Lucretia Lampton in 1865. Laban moved to Iowa where he died on 4 Mar 1884 at Jamaica, Iowa. The children he had with Prudence Wallingford was: Joseph Thornton Ellis, Harriet Jane Ellis, Indiana Ellis, John Sebold Ellis, James Mark Ellis, Mary Ann Ellis, William Wallingford Ellis, Rachel Elizabeth Ellis, George Washington Ellis, and Sarah Emmaline Ellis. With his thrid wife he had the following children: Cora Belle Ellis, Bertha Lastina Ellis, and Laban Henry Ellis I am looking for any living relations to the above children especially Mary Ann Ellis who married George H.
