I seek information about the ancestors and descendants of William Leopold Ellis. According to his obituary, he was born 15 June 1822 in Mecklenberg (town not mentioned). He married Friedericka WOHLSCHLAEGER in 1854. He died 28 May 1893 in Burke Township, Dane County, WI. For several years before moving to WI he lived in New York.
