Just found my Grandma's wedding write -up from the paper dated 1921 Her husband was named John Manuel Ellis Jr. He was born in New Jersey in 1899. In looking up census records his father John Manuel Ellis Sr. was born in Ohio but Where????? I was told as a child that My Gt.Aunt fought for money she thought was owed the family from the sale of Ellis Island and other Property that was sole up by where Central Park is today. NOW is Samuel Ellis who owned Ellis Island.ever married to a Mary?? I know John Ellis had a Brother Charles because I have a Bible from him but nothing is written in it and I have a Mason Apron dated 1836 but who's is it???
