My ELLIS line: Piety ELLIS b Nov 18, 1810 in Tennessee (county unknown) but possibly Lincoln Co., Tn. She married William STILES 1828 (probably in Tn). They were in Missouri about 1836 where their their 7th child was born. I know they were probably in Greene Co., Missouri about 1849 where John William STILES (my line) married Louisa Caroline GREGORY. I don't know Piety ELLIS' parents or siblings names. My husband's ELLIS line: Charlotte ELLIS b Oct 9, 1817 in NY (possibly Yates Co). I believe her father's name is Moses ELLIS & mother Mary Bennett TRAVIS. I believe her siblings names were: Hannah ELLIS b 1812 Thomas Bennett ELLIS b 1819 Jeremiah Travis ELLIS Elial Scudder ELLIS b 1822 Nicol Wyckoff ELLIS b 1823 Levi Demott ELLIS b Apr 9, 1826 Sylvanus ELLIS b 1827 Anna ELLIS b 1828 Sophia Elizabeth ELLIS b 1833 The reason I believe Charlotte ELLIS belongs to Moses ELLIS & Mary Bennett TRAVIS is that she named one of her sons ELIAL, which is an unusual name.
