Ellis age 41 Teamster b: TN Susanna Ellis age 41 b: VA Joseph Ellis age 11 b: MO ( would like to know more about him) Martha Ellis age 6 b: MO Civil War records & family records show his name as Roten Ernest Ellis: Served in Civil War enlisted 4 July 1863 Mustered date 23 Jul 1863 Resident of Stewartsville, MO Mustered out date: 18 Jul 1865 De Vall's Bluff. Entered hospital 1 Apr 1871 died 9 June 1871 of injuries received in Civil War. This information is in a letter dated 19 Jun 1774 from Fulton State Hospital in Fulton, MO threw the State of MO Dept. of Public Health and Welfare Division. This also shows his name as Roten.
