ELLIS sisters came from County Wicklow, IRE c1846 to CT. They were in Danbury, Fairfield Co. and went to Whitewater, Walworth Co., WI c1855. Haven't been able to find them on a passenger list, but don't think they came alone. Winifred Ellis b. c1827 IRE, m. John GRIFFIN 1850 CT>WI>Chicago, d. 1902 Sarah Ellis b. 1831 IRE, m. John KELLY 1853? CT>WI, d. 1897 Whitewater, WI Mary Ellis b. IRE>CT>WI Did she marry? Sarah Ellis Kelly is buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Whitewater, WI, as well as a John Ellis b. c1809 IRE d. 1873 WI. Possibly the father of these girls?
