My GGGrandfather Thomas C Ellis married Phebe Stewart they had the foll Children in Delaware Co., NY Amanda b 1835 Hanna b 1836 Hammond B b Oct 24, 1838 Alba b 1840 Cornelia b 1843 Joseph b 1845 then they migrated to Ogle Co., ILLinois where the remaining were born Mary b Oct 1846 Elizabeth b Aug 1850 Emma b abt 1852 Thomas Died in Ogle Co., IL, and the majority of the family moved on to Appanoose Co., IOWA about 1853. abt 1869 Hammond, Joseph, and the Mother Phebe established homesteads in Eastern Nebraska where they remained Hammond is my GG Grandfather. he married Rachel Ann Evans in Appanoose Co., IA in 1861 after he was wounded and discharged from the Army. Hammond died Sept 8, 1898 in Lushton, York, NE as the result of an attack by a bull. Are you descended from Hammond or his brother Joe or a different line??
