I'm still "lurking" and trying to find anything I can on Hardy Ellis or his family. (I lost some "contacts" when my computer crashed so If you've written me, please write again!) Hardy Ellis moved to Calloway County, KY from Montgomery Co., TN about 1832. His son Alexander Carrol is my husband's g-grandfather. A.C. was born 27 May 1840 (Calloway Co) and died 16 Mar 1921 (Stewart Co., TN). He married Eliza Ann Pool (born 11 Aug 1841 Robertson Co., TN, died 4 Dec 1927 Stewart Co., TN) on 15 Dec 1863. Eliza is the daughter of Henry and Pelina Johnson Pool. I just "inherited" photos of A.C. and Eliza----and people I can't identify. I'd be happy to share information or photos. Sandy Ellis
I wish to thank each and everyone that took the time to read my plea and sent me data to present at the Family Reunion Aug. 6, 2000. I will reply to you all as soon as I know something definite. It is still not too late to those of you that are just finding the time to send me information. Wish me luck and send up a little prayer that we will be able to connect to some of these families, not only for me, but also for you!! :~) Mary masdal@ala.net

Hello All, We have updated and revised our Genealogy Home of Dennis and Lisa Stein. The link below is being provide for your convenience and chance that we find a family connection. Grab a cup of coffee, sit back, relax and enjoy your visit. Looking forward to hearing from you! Have A Great Week! Dennis W. Stein dstein@chesapeake.net "Genealogy Home of Dennis and Lisa Stein" @ www.chesapeake.net/~dstein/usr/home/dstein/public_html/genealogy.htm Listing the following SURNAMES: ABBOTT, BEAN, BYERLY, CURTIS, DANIELS, DEMENT, DUNN, ELLIS, FREEMAN, GOULD, HAMMOND, HICKS, HOLLENBECK, LUX, NORRIS, REDMAN, STEIN, STROUD, WALLACE and more!
Dear Listers, I am appealing to everyone out of the goodness of your heart that had any "ELLIS" born between 1700's and 1900's in Virginia, South and North Carolina and ended up in Georgia and Alabama, to flood my mailbox with any information pertaining to them. We are having a Family reunion in 2 weeks and we know nothing about these folks. We are all getting along in years and there is only a handful of folks left to attend this yearly reunion. Different information that could be put in plain sight could jog old memories and finally break down walls to find this family. In Appreciation Mary Leonard Stephenson masdal@ala.net
