    1. [ELLIS-L] Marshall Ellis - Baltimore, MD
    2. Judith Hawkins
    3. A while ago I posted an inquiry about Marshall Ellis. All I know about him comes from the death certificate of his daughter Louise (my g-grandmother). Louise was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1850, and her father is identified as Marshall Ellis who was born in Baltimore, MD. No one responded to my message, so I am assuming no one has a Marshall on their family trees. Does anyone have any Ellis' at all in or near the Baltimore area in the 1810-1830 time period? (That would have made Marshall betwen 20 and 40 when Louise was born, which seems like a likely assumption.) Thanks for any help. Judith Hawkins

    1. [ELLIS-L] ??? Ralph Ellis in 1896 ???
    2. Hello list members, Ralph ELLIS was the nephew of my g grandfather, John BARRETT. He was with John when he was killed in 1894 in Albion, Idaho. I want to contact anyone who would know anything about Ralph or his brother Albert. I am wishing to trace my ancestors thru these brothers as I am at a brick wall and have no idea where to go from here. I have a picture of Ralph and Albert ELLIS taken in Mass. about that time so they probably were in Mass. in or after grandpa's death. Any help would be so appreciated. I think the names BARRETT, McDONOUGH or McENTEVY are involved here too. Thanx for any jelp, Dinnie

    2. Hello fellow researchers: Although it's not the people we were hoping it would be, we have recently recieved the pension reports, et. al., for James Monroe & Martha Jane [SAWREY] ELLIS, and their children Albert, Harry V., Maggie, and Eddie M., of Mulberry Grove, IL. We recieved these papers, 21 pages in all (about 15 are xeroxs of the hand-written originals), dating from their 1851 marriage until the widows pension papers of 1916. Having only opened the package a few days ago, I haven't been able to get the words into my files yet, but if there's anyone out here interested in text copies of what I have please e-mail me. They will be in Microsoft Works format, if that makes a difference (?)... I don't have a photo scanner *sorry*. 1. [ELLIS-L] Margaret Ellis
    2. Mel
    3. Hello there everyone, I've got a bad one here! I have been searching for a Margaret (possible middle initial E) Ellis with no dob, but is suspected to have been born around 1846 and died around 1880-1882. She married Winfield Scott Burford 11/19/1865. They had Thomas A, Mary (or May), John B, Arthur and Collin. Winfield lived around the Gravel Hill, MO area and I suspect she did as well or in the nearby areas of Illinois. I also suspect that the Ellis' may have moved from TN>IL>MO...like everyone else, ha ha. If anyone knows about her or if the childrens names ring a bell...Collin is quite unusual. Please let me know. I know nothing about Margaret (Maggie/Maggy) or where she is from! Thank you! Melissa
