Hi all ... I'm tracing Benjamin ELLIS, b. in Denbighshire, Wales (Ruabon Parish) in 1843, immigrated to Clearfield County, PA, in 1871, killed in coal mine in 1879. Married Elizabeth JARVIS in 1862 in Wales. Their surviving children were: Charles (b. 1863), George (b. 1865), Benjamin (b. 1867), Sarah A. (b. 1869), Elizabeth (b. 1870), and Isaac (b. 1877). Am especially interested in locating descendants of the son, Benjamin (b. 1867). I have a pretty good idea of what happened to the other kids. (Charles, George died young in coal-mining accidents, Charles leaving two toddlers behind; Sarah and Elizabeth married, had kids and moved to Youngstown, Ohio; I believe Isaac never married, but may be wrong.) Benjamin senior's parents were Charles ELLIS and Anne DODD, of Denbighshire, Wales. Thanks. Beth
Howdy All: My great grandmother was Nancy Ann Ellis born on Aug 29,1822 in Hanover Co., VA. and died in Richmond, VA. on Nov 2, 1896. She was the daughter of Jeremiah Ellis who married Virginia Utley in Goochland Co., VA. on Feb 9, 1819. Nancy Ann Ellis was married three times as follows: 1st to James Hughes; 2nd to William I. Trexler with whom she had 5 children; and 3rd to my great grandfather Albert Liggon/Ligon by whom she had 3 more children. By chance is there anyone out there that can tell me anything about this ELLIS Family? Any information will be greatly appreciated. Warmest Regards, Bernie in Virginia
