Thanks. > Sorry that I did not get the second information out yesterday....just ran out of time...but here it is: I had a chance to look at Dollarhide's Census book to see that the counties of Perquimans and Randolph do not adjoin. And one of the authors that I read seemed to think that the Perquimans Elliotts were one group and that the the Elliots that settled in the Piedmont area of NC of which Randolph and Guilford counties would be a part were a separate line having come down from Pennsylvania. If this author is correct, I do not believe that my Elliotts would come from Perquimans. In 1790 there was only one Abraham Elliott in Perquimans county and today's research (if the authors that I read are correct) tells me that that man was probably the son of Thomas who was the grandson of the orginal Thomas Elliott of Perquimans. This Abraham was born circa 1775 and married Juliana Wilson. They did not have a son named Abraham nor a daughter named Catherine. So now I am zeroing in on the three Abrahams who appear in the 1790 census in Randolph County. Marsha in Wv
