Hi - I'm new to the list, seeking info on my gt.grandfather and grandmother, of Yorkshire, England. Charles Henry ELLIOTT married Emily RYALLS, of Attercliffe (Sheffield), and had daughter Clarissa Ada, probably in Bradford in 1892. I have a bit about Emily's family, but know nothing of Charles Henry. In 1881 Emily was still living in Attercliffe with her mother, and I haven't been able to locate the couple in Bradford in the 1891 census (I live in Norway, so am reliant on the kindness of others for look ups). Clarissa Ada's marriage certificate (1915, Bradford, to Sam WOODEND), lists his occupation as a painter, and he is deceased by this time. The witnesses are Charles Henry and Thomas William ELLIOTT - possibly brothers. Clariss and Sam emigrated to Australia and she died there in 1944. Her death certificate does not give her date of birth and lists her birthplace only as 'England'.
