Hi Misty and all, I never knew about this! My Elliotts were in PA in the 1700s and 1800s, in fact there are some Hawkins in my George Elliott line, so we must be cousins. How can the City allow a dump to be piled up on a Cemetery? Our Ancestors built and defended this Country, and for the City to have ignored the Cemetery and make it into dumping grounds is an outrage! We need to find out what happened here. Maybe it can be searched by date of the Suit? Or someone in Philly can help find the case? Curtis Elliott
Since we are on the topic of Philadelphia Elliotts, I have an inquiry concerning my wife's family. Her earliest known Elliott was John Elliott b.abt.1810 in PA. John married a woman named Polly (last name unknown). They had at least six children: William J. Elliott b.1836 in Philadelphia, Samuel Elliott b.abt.1838, James Elliott b.abt.1840, John Elliott b.abt.1842, Thomas Elliott b.abt.1844 and Reuben Elliott b.abt.1849. Any help with this Elliott family, which had a Philadelphia connection, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dick
