This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --------------55F2E903A42EF43F52DD2B17 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit I apologize if some of you get this message more than once, I am posting it to several lists in hopes of answers. >From what sources did Broderbund/Family Tree Maker get their info for their Marriage Index cds for NC and other states? They have many marriages listed from before records were required to be kept, and not neccessarily Quaker marriages. For instance, there is an 1850 marriage for Henry Chappel and Kesiah Elliott in Perquimans. I want to know if there are records I can look for to find more info, i.e...parents names. I've been curious about this for years...hope someone knows the answer! BTW...as long as I'm here, here are my Chowan/Perquimans surnames: Chappell, Lane, Skinner, Monds, Dail, Elliott, Bunch, Parrish, Small, Goodwin, Griffin, Taylor, Bond, Perry, ...you know...half the county...many early Quakers, too. Thank you all!
