My elusive ancestor is Jonathan Elliott, b. 1804 in Chester Co., SC. I have been looking for his parents and siblings for years with no result. Jonathan was in Perry Co., AL by 1830 where he married Eliza McCain, daughter of Thomas and Sophia Sterling McCain. Jonathan Elliott moved from Perry Co. to Itawamba Co., MS, then to Claiborne Parish, LA and finally to Columbia Co., AR where he died in 1872. Does anyone have Elliotts in Chester Co., SC and/or Perry Co., AL? Sandra
