    3. All Elliott info fascinating. It seems I do not have a family tree but a bush with many, many branches. My Elliott, names James was born in West Plains, Mo. on May 18, 1841 and died in Bell County, Texas on July 1, 1922. Family members believe he fought in war but since MO was a border state they don't seem sure which side. There is even talk that James Elliott rode with Quantril's raiders - but he is not listed in any book I have seen. He married Mary - and moved to Tx , his name appears on tax rolls in . He had two daughters, Sarah Lee Anna, who married Will Witter, and Minnie, who married to Ace Nichols. James Elliott was a successful farmer, rancher, land owner but a mystery man. Have no idea who his parents were or if he had siblings. Does any of this ring a bell with list. Thanks.... M. L. Gunberg

    3. I don't know about Quantril's Raiders but I found and copied a couple of interesting pictures out of a book about MO...I didn't copy the name of the book down....just copied the pictures for my husband, who is the Elliott of our family, as a prank. The two pictures are of Frank and Robert Elliott of the Dalton Gang. Anyone related? Sue ô¿ô An Okie in Texas..... Still shaking the family tree and dodging the nuts after 20+ years! Can a first, second or third cousin, once removed, return? ==================================== Sue Palmer~Elliott Listmom & Webmaster ELLIOT & ELLIOTT Surname Lists Administrator ELLIOTT & ELLIOT Message Boards Visit the ELLIOT/ELLIOTT Most Wanted Web Site: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~theelliottsummit/ The Elliott Corner web site: http://www.mo.quik.com/palliott The Original Lamar County Alabama Web site http://www.rootsweb.com/~allamar Palmer Paths Web site http://www.freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~palmerpaths ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mary Lee Gunberg" <mgunberg@iopener.net> To: <ELLIOTT-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, July 17, 2002 1:19 PM Subject: [ELLIOTT] Roll Call > > All Elliott info fascinating.
