Hi all - William, Abraham, and Ned Elliott were brothers who first settled around the James River in Virginia. They left there in the late 1700's and went to Fayette Co. PA. Abraham was a bachelor, Ned went to Kentucky, and William went to Preston Co. Virginia (which later became West Virginia). Here's what I know about Abraham, one of William's sons. Abraham (b. 1730) m. Jane in 1794. They had several children: William (b. 1795), Mary E., Elizabeth, Rebecca, John (b. 1801), Jane (b. ca 1806), Sarah, Drusilla, Susan, Rachel, and Margaret. The two sons, William and John, stayed in Preston Co. I know William had one son,Felix. John was QUITE prolific - his children were: William (1825-1908), Thomas (b. 1827), Rebecca (1828), Isaac (b. 1829), John Dougherty (b. 1830), Ambrose (b. 1831), Nancy Elizabeth (b. 1832), Samuel (b. 1833), Jane (b. 1835), Silas (b. 1836), Minerva (b. 1838), Joseph (b. 1839), James (1841-1912), Felix (1842), and Abram (b. 1844). John's wife, who seems to have spent her entire adult life pregnant, was Elizabeth Merideth (1802-1881). Of these, William, Isaac, John D., and James M. all stayed in Preston Co. So, I'm looking for more info on Abraham's parents, but I'd love to hear from any descendants of these West Virginia Elliotts. Karen Kimball Torrance CA
