    3. Hi Folks, My Elliott line has been a brick wall for me for quite some time. My grandmother was Ellen Gladys Elliott b. 1889 in Graves Co., KY. Her father was Thomas Ivey Elliott probably b. in 1860s resided in Graves Co. but I am unsure where he was born, Thomas married Parthenia Miller. Thomas' father was Samuel (or possibly Sandford/Sanford) Elliott. Not sure about Samuel's birth but probably in 1830s. He married Sarah Jane Bean. A researcher on a collateral line has said that unsubstantiated information provided to him shows Samuel as being born in Stewart Co., TN but I have not found records in Stewart Co. to confirm this. Thomas and his wife Parthenia and Samuel and wife Sarah Jane are buried in Bean Cemetery near Farmington in Graves Co., KY. Any information appreciated. Thanks, Gary

    3. Looking for information on three Elliott brothers from Gloucester County, Virginia. All were born circa 1740-1760. Their names are: Robert. Married a Ms. Dobson. Had a daughter (name unknown) and a son PETER (1774-1863). Information on Peter and his offspring can be found at: http://www.wscottsmith.com/elliotthouse/history/elliott.htm He ended up in Evansville, Indiana where his two sons, Joseph and William, lived. Joseph. Moved to Baltimore, MD. Thomas. Moved to Richmond, VA. Only one child lived to adulthood-a daughter. All three of these brothers supposedly served in the Revolution. I'm also trying to connect these three mid-18th C. brothers to a Col. Anthony Elliott from 17th C. Gloucester County, Virginia. He had three sons: William, Thomas, Robert. W. 3. W.Scott: Have you found the Land Office Patents on the Library of VA website: Patents 4 p 334 25 Nov 1658, patents 5 p 410 26 April 1664 Elliott, Thomas and Robert, sons of Col Anthony Elliott - county not given 2000e in the freshes of Rappahannock River beginning at a point of low land upon the south side of river about 4 miles above Nagamum town. Elliott, William - Middlesex Co 21 April 1690 722a Elliott, William - Glouchester Co 8 Oct 1671 11009 beginning + c. on Queen's creek side near the head thereof patent 6 1666-79 p 428 I just wrote a few notes down so I could find them again if I ever connected them to my Elliott family. I was hoping to relate them to James Elliott born about 1845 in Essex Co. My husband Joseph Elliott was born in K&Q co in 1930 and said all the Elliotts in those two counties were related and had lived there for centuries. Would love to hear from you.
