I am particularly interested in learning more about a Jonathan ELLIOTT who is shown on the 1820 and 1830 censuses for Kent Co., DE. I believe he lived in the Murderkill River region and possibly had a mill. In 1840, this same Jonathan appears in the census for Madison Co., IL. Living next door to him is George F. GLEESON who married a Mary E. ELLIOTT that same year. I assume that she is daughter of Jonathan, since she stated that she was born in Delaware on the 1850 census. George and Mary GLEESON removed to St. Louis, MO before 1850 and also living in their household on the census is a John ELLIOTT, born in Delaware, who appears to be Mary's brother. I would like to get more information on this family, on Mary's siblings and on her ancestors.
