Her sister, Jane married James Huston, Jr.. Their father and mother were in Wilmington, De. as early as 1743. I am sure they were in Scotland or some of their family at one time as Elliott is a Scottish name. William was the head of this family and I need to dig in Pa. as we believe they may have been in Pa. before going to De. They all lived in Brandywine Village which is on the Pa. bornder. There was also a James Elliott and his wife and child living in Chester Cty, Pa. in 1900. He worked for the railroad and I am sure he is part of his family as his father, James worked for the railroad, as well his son James. These names, Wm, John, James, Louis were used over and over down to my dad (James and Daddy was the 5th gen. with the name, James) There was one generation nearer my age, which were two brothers and they carried the name John and James) We also had McWhorter's in Delaware. Sure wish we could have connecting family. But, it looks as if your family came later than ours. Anita Adler in Texas.
