I have really hit a stump with Nancy Smith, b. 1819 in S. C. She married James J. Elliott, b. 1819 also, in Chestatee, Forsyth C., GA. They were married 1-27-1842 in Lumpkin Co., GA. I had thought Nancy's parents were John A. Smith, Sr. and Mary "Polly" Montgomery, both of S. C., but I've been told through message boards that this is not so. Thanks, L C
