Helen L. Elliott, 84, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2007, losing her battle with cancer. Born in Chowchilla, CA, she was raised on a farm in Perry, Oklahoma. She married Howard Elliot in 1946 and they moved to Long Beach, CA in 1951 to raise their two daughters. She began ballroom dancing competitively after her retirement from American Can Co. For the past 20 years, she had been working part-time at Crystal Gem, retiring in January of this year, due to illness. She is survived by her daughters, Patti Reed of Irvine, Terri Bradford of Aromas; 6 grandchildren, Nicole, Jeannette, Amy, Steven, Ryan, Travis; 4 great grandsons, Andres, Lucas, Kekoa, Nicolas; friend and companion, Oscar Zardeneta. A Memorial service in celebration of Helen's life will be held at Forest Lawn, Cypress on June 23rd at 10:30 AM. Helen was a very elegant, warm and kind lady, and will be missed by many.
