I don't have any info for you other than that I was looking up my paternal grandmother's father (William H Elliott, Birth abt. 1859 in Ky, married to Malinda) when I found you posted question.... We were always told the same thing about my grandmother, Dorothy M. Elliott) having a grandparent who was full-blooded Cherokee as well. I'm new at this family research stuff and have basically been searching through info other family members have passed on. Did you ever come up with any definites on the Native American Heritage?
