I have Indiana Elliotts in my family, but haven't discovered a direct connection to Charles. Hopefully it is helpful to someone else. Please forgive transcription errors, if any. *** The Last Will and Testament of Charles Elliott of the County of Scott and State of Indiana. I, Charles Elliott considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind memory and understanding do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following. Towit first after my body is committed to the grave I desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid. Second I give and bequeath to my eldest daughter Emily Mitchell one dollar. To my second eldest daughter Sarah McCullough I give one dollar. To my eldest son William Elliott, I give one dollar. To my third eldest daughter Ann Blocher I give one dollar and to my second eldest son Albert Elliott I give one dollar. To my fourth eldest daughter Jane McAdams I give one dollar. To my fifth eldest daughter Eliza Harrod I give one dollar, and to my sixth eldest daughter Mary Ray I give one dollar. To my youngest daughter Eleanor Elliott I give one dollar and to my third and youngest son John Elliott I give one brown mare four years old this fall and all of my personal p! roperty except the brown mare I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth Elliott to have and dispose of as she may think proper and also I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth Elliott the farm on which I now live to have the use and benefit of the same as long as she shall live and after her decease I hereby give and bequeath the said farm to my youngest son John Elliott he to be sole heir of said farm. I hereby revoke all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I have herewith set my hand and seal this twenty-sixth day of October eighteen hundred and forty nine.
